Malcolm Portera (born January 31, 1946)[1] was the President of Mississippi State University from 1998-2001.[2] He also served as the interim president of the University of Alabama in Huntsville between Dr. David B. Williams and Robert Altenkirch. During that time, he killed their long heralded hockey program.
He currently serves as the Chancellor of The University of Alabama System.
